Every day we make around 35,000 decisions, of which most are unconscious. I genuinely believe that the quality of our lives and our futures are a direct consequence of the quality of these decisions.
Most of them seem totally irrelevant in the moment, and it’s tough to see how they can have any impact at all. And that’s true, in the short term. However, compounded over time, these decisions and actions we take will have life-changing effects in the long run.
I clearly remember making such a decision some years ago when I decided to stop listening to the radio when I was commuting to work and instead start with inspiring podcasts and audiobooks.
Of course, for the first six months or so, I saw no difference. But the more I kept going, the more I learned and the more I started to get interested in personal development and entrepreneurship.
This journey led me to discover SFM, get my first mentors, learning digital marketing, building up my online business, and living 100% thereof.
And all of that started by deliberately making small positive choices everyday.
One of the best books on this subject is The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson. I strongly recommend you to take the time and read ten pages every day from this book and other similar ones. Over a year, the impact will be enormous.
